We are used to running around for hours at a time with no break.
What happens when our bodies need a break?
Holding urine for an entire 12-hour shifts.
What happens when the nurse steps are not as swift?
Putting on a smile even when giving bad news.
What happens when the nurse WBC’s show the flu?
Going over lab values for at least six patient a day.
What happens when your throat will not let you say a word?
What happens when the nurse is sick?
No one notices as the nurse is not a part of the normal clique.
We wear our mask and care for your loved ones.
What happens when no one notices when we are done?
Suffering in silence from the foul words to the physical violence.
Nurses are expected to suffer in silence.
